Resuscitation and AED Use

Learn to help when every minute counts

Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the most urgent life-threatening conditions. In such cases, the problem must be recognized within seconds, help must be called, chest compressions must be started, and if available, an automated external defibrillator (AED) must be used.

Resuscitation and AED Use

Did you know?

In Hungary, sudden cardiac arrest occurs in thousands of people every year. Bystander resuscitation started before emergency services arrive can save lives, which is why it is crucial that as many people as possible know what to do in such situations.

Why is immediate action critical?

Resuscitation and AED Use

Every minute counts

Each minute of delay significantly reduces the chances of survival.

Resuscitation and AED Use

The critical 3–5 minutes

According to international data, defibrillation within 3–5 minutes can be associated with a survival rate of up to 50–70%.

Resuscitation and AED Use

It can happen anywhere

Sudden cardiac arrest can occur at the workplace, in institutions, in public areas, during sports, or even at home.
